Protein Porridge – The Original Fuel
Let me introduce to you the new hashtag…#porridgeporn. Im all about about keeping it simple and original, we know oats are good for you and have an array of health benefits but they do need help in the tasting department! So its all about creating the most tantalising porridge whilst still keeping its healthy nature! Ditch the protein powders and go back to the good old school protein hit of egg whites! Yes egg whites, they make a delicious creamy porridge! Dont judge until you’ve tried!
Cooks in Minutes
- 2 cups coconut water
- 30g porridge
- 2 egg whites
- Add the coconut water and oats into a heated saucepan, stir continuously until the porridge begins to breakdown.
- Once the flakes have dissolved remove from heat and whisk in the two egg whites using a fork, make sure to mix it very well to avoid any lumps!
- Return to heat and stir, cooking for a further 2 minutes.
**Now add your toppings;RECOMMENDED
Banana & almond butter – mashed together
My raspberry jam & peanut butter
Blueberry chia jam & chopped nuts
**Blueberry chia jam- 1/2 cup of blueberries, microwave until they burst and become liquid (1 min) add tbsp chia seeds (optional add 1 tsp sweetner – stevia or honey)
