Roz Purcell and Gill Books to launch The Natural Born Feeder Pop-Up Shop on Dublin’s Baggot Street

Along with her publisher, Gill Books, Roz Purcell is opening a pop-up shop to bring to life the recipes from her new cookbook, Natural Born Feeder: Whole Foods, Whole Life which debuted at No. 1 in the Irish bestseller list on 2 February, just days after it hit the book shelves.

The shop will be located at 140 Baggot Street Lower and will be open to the public for grab and go breakfasts and lunches from 8am to 3pm daily on the 10, 11 and 12 February. On the menu are Roz’s smoothies and juices for breakfast, soups and breads for lunch as well as snacks like granola bars, protein balls, and cookies – the recipes for which can all be found in Natural Born Feeder cookbook. All proceeds from sales at the shop will be donated to The Capuchin Day Centre for Homeless People which provides breakfast, lunch and other facilities for hundreds of homeless people in Dublin every day.

Roz will be there herself every day and is making it a family affair roping in her dad, sister and even Bressie who will all don their aprons and get behind the counter to help out!

For Roz it’s an opportunity to bring the whole foods philosophy she’s espoused for years on her blog to life. She says,

‘I am so excited to be opening my own pop-up to mark the launch of my cookbook. The recipes I’ll be serving reflect how I eat – all natural, whole foods that taste great and provide the fuel our bodies need to look and feel our best. I’ve been interacting with fans about my recipes for so long through my blog, it’ll be great to finally meet them and see their reactions to my recipes in person!’

The shop is a collaboration between Roz and her publishers Gill Books, who engaged Hunter Communications to project manage the shop set-up. For Gill Books, who once had their own retail space on O’Connell St, it marks a brief return to the high street and the next step in their continuing commitment to bring their books to life for their audiences in new ways.
